Award-winning SaaS platform leaps competition with Sisense
LiveHire is a globally-leading total talent platform, enabling clients to attract and engage both permanent employees and contingent workers through branded Talent Communities.
LiveHire replaces old and ineffective recruitment systems with a modern, enterprise-grade Total Talent Platform. Using the platform, companies utilise their brand to attract potential future hires to join their talent community, regardless of whether a job is available, with a mobile-optimised, candidate-owned profile. Recruiters then use the help of smart, AI-powered suggestions to build talent pools of pre-qualified and engaged talent to hire when a role becomes available. This technology helps leading companies overcome some of the incredible challenges faced by companies today in attracting the best talent everywhere in the world.
The candidates’ experience of finding a job on LiveHire is highly positive, with an average satisfaction score of 95% across 60,000-plus responses and six million profiles globally.
LiveHire always stays a step ahead of the competition by looking for smarter and better ways to innovate. In 2021, LiveHire was recognised by The Australian Financial Review as one of the most innovative companies in Australia, ranking 4th in the Most Innovative Professional Services Company category. In 2022, it won the HR Tech Award for “Best Innovative or Emerging Tech Solution” in the Talent Acquisition category.
Scaling rapidly, LiveHire has clients spanning the APAC region and North America, where it successfully entered the market two years ago. Now, LiveHire is on pace to win an additional 50-plus enterprise clients across Asia Pacific and 30-plus clients in North America.
Antonluigi Gozzi, Founder, Executive Director, and Chief Products Officer at LiveHire leads the product and engineering teams and manages the in-house development of LiveHire’s technology platform and proprietary intellectual property. Together with his CTO and Head of Analytics, he is instrumental in leading the Sisense transformation.
Eliminate lag and gain insights in real-time
LiveHire has more than six million candidate-owned profiles and tens of thousands of recruiters on its platform from around the world. It processes approximately three terabytes of data a month just working through candidates’ applications, interviews and notes — no photos or videos; it’s all data.
The data on the platform is a mixture of candidates updating their profiles to showcase their latest skills and experience and two-way interactions between recruiters and candidates during the recruitment process. This data all gets passed through analytics.
Antonluigi’s vision has always been to “hardwire the hundreds of activities that happen every week for a job seeker and for the hiring organisation into a single platform” to increase transparency in the employment market.
This has been achieved, with clients being able to have a single view of their engagement across the platform. The LiveHire platform is also jam-packed with interview notes and other sharing and collaboration-type data. This means all the available data is reportable; however, it needed to be presented and utilised effectively.
When LiveHire was ready to present each client with their personal data, it needed a beautiful, seamless way to showcase it. The team decided that they didn’t want to build their own visualisations or leverage an existing tool. They wanted something new, fast, flexible, and scalable. It had to be something their clients would love at first sight and would learn to depend on for their decision-making and problem-solving within their recruitment process.
Make visualisations a breeze with scalable, flexible solution
At the beginning of LiveHire’s search, Antonluigi says they looked at 30 different business intelligence (BI) tools. It wasn’t long before Sisense emerged as the clear winner.
Sisense offers a lot of support, whereas the larger platforms like Power BI and Tableau simply don’t – they’re too big. Working with 200 clients, we needed a partner who was going to be there for us.

Antonluigi also felt the other contenders were too niche; they didn’t have the firepower required to suit LiveHire’s needs.
“We needed a company that was client-centred, flexible, and easy to interact with. We also loved that Sisense was a white-label platform. That’s why we chose Sisense. It ticked every box we were after,” he says.
“We also share a lot of the same values. There’s a level of honesty and directness in our partnership, which is key.”
As LiveHire continues its growth journey, Antonluigi points out that, with Sisense, the company doesn’t have to worry about scale.
“Sisense is built for use cases that are quite enormous,” he says. “So even though we might scale 3X every year in terms of data; we never have to have a conversation with Sisense, asking, ‘Can your data scale with our growth?’ There’s an implicit assumption that Sisense always works.”
Up and running in no time
LiveHire partnered with Sisense in December; and by late March/early April, it was already live with clients. The company chose a three-phase install where the first phase was centred around speed. LiveHire wanted to go live quickly in order to provide more value to clients in the swiftest way possible.
After two years, during the second phase, LiveHire revised the entire platform and created a new set of advanced analytics for clients.
And now, Antonluigi says it’s time for a third iteration that will see the software company creating more diversification and differentiation between various markets. This is key as LiveHire serves clients of different sizes and across an array of industries.
“Sisense worked with us to define better options in our data model. Then, within four months, we went fully live with our data model, the data pipeline, which pushes the data to the data model, and various displays for all of our clients,” he says.
A closer look at the installation
With Sisense installed in its production environments and many other staging environments, LiveHire now has the advanced capability and agility necessary to deliver constant enhancements to its platform.
“We continue to release updated features every two weeks in sprints. There’s no ‘set it and forget it’. Our data model changes daily,” Antonluigi says. “That’s why it’s important that we had a platform that was flexible.”
“With Sisense, we have a platform that can be used the way the development team needs to use it. And when you’re developing products, you want technology that makes it easy for you, not hard. We have also been able to remain very lean in our OPEX and CAPEX costs. Sisense has been good with that.”
Immediate impact: A standout in the industry
By harnessing the power of Sisense, LiveHire is a standout in a competitive market. “Sisense is one of our top three differentiators and a must-have for our company,” Antonluigi shares. “The solution provides us with deep, rich, and live data insights and analytics to showcase across the entire sales process.”
By leveraging Sisense, LiveHire’s clients have significantly benefited; the time it takes them to produce reports has been slashed. Additionally, LiveHire is now able to provide its clients with more than data and reports; it provides them with insights.
“We can provide our clients with trends, different markers and benchmarks, and other pertinent information that just wasn’t possible before,” Antonluigi says. “We’ve been able to create value for our clients that helps improve their business practices based on real-time insights.”
Antonluigi also shares that these insights help LiveHire’s clients dial in on what’s working and what’s not. “Since implementing dashboards and providing our clients with insights, we’ve been able to create more value. Attracting the right talent is a top priority for all our clients, and the market changes constantly and rapidly. So, rather than being reactive, we are now proactive with data and insights, helping our clients become more innovative and competitive in a tight labour market,” he points out.
Sisense drives LiveHire’s innovation journey
LiveHire enables its clients to work towards a more proactive recruitment model that engages talent in an authentic, humanised way while dramatically lowering the costs of hiring.
LiveHire’s Total Talent Management Platform allows its users to achieve competitive advantages including:
- Branded talent community sign-up pages (to enhance employer branding)
- Rapid two-way candidate messaging via email and texting, native (with bulk option) and fully integrated into the LiveHire platform experience (enabling industry-leading candidate response time)
- Proactive AI-driven talent pooling and workforce planning (reducing time-to-hire)
- Intelligent job matching and candidate suggestions (eliminating recruitment admin)
- Ability to create a total talent view; external, internal, contractor, and alumni (revealing strategic recruitment insights)
Throughout Australia, LiveHire also powers 20-plus large hospitals, including the largest NDIS company in the country. They hire thousands every year and are constantly under pressure to find top talent. That’s why they trust LiveHire – it easily keeps up with the dynamic labour market.
“Everything is constantly changing, especially with COVID. Being able to put everyday analytics in the hands of every user, giving them a unique tool that allows them to keep their finger on the pulse of change, is a powerful differentiator for us,” Antonluigi says.
In North America, LiveHire’s technology enabled Raise to spearhead the rapid recruitment of COVID-19 contact tracers for the Ontario Ministry of Health. The team received close to 12,000 application inquiries for the project. Therefore, establishing unhindered candidate visibility from the beginning was crucial. Within LiveHire, candidate profiles are pre-populated with resume details, giving consistency through format — and making it easy to read quickly.
Within seven days of the job opening, 42% of hires were made. The median time-to-hire was 13 days over the project, which they attribute to a collaboration of process and technology. The hiring process became so rapid, the recruitment team had to slow down to ensure a smooth onboarding process for the Ontario Ministry of Health’s new hires. The program was such a success that it now serves as a blueprint for future volume hiring initiatives, either for COVID-19 or any rapid response recruitment project.
“Without LiveHire’s advanced technology, we wouldn’t be in the same position to deliver rapid-response volume hiring,” says Edwin Jansen, Head of Corporate Development at Raise.
Antonluigi says it was that kind of innovation that won LiveHire its recent awards. “To create those innovations, we had to adapt our system to be insightful and be able to respond quickly. We achieved this by using Sisense, which is a low- to no-code solution that uncovers powerful insights and customised experiences, making it easy for everyone to use.
“At the end of the day, if you want to provide analytics for your clients, you have to set the bar very high. You can’t create a good dashboard and be done with it. No, you need to have an engineering team that can use it, and you have to make sure it works for your clients every day,” Antonluigi says.
“As an enterprise, you want to make sure you have a system that is flexible and has the ability to save you time. Creating that takes time. But that’s the benefit you get with Sisense.”
